What’s so special about ‘The Ease of NO Fees’ promotion?

Once you apply this Promo Code, all of your domestic payments carry NO fees. Your eligible promo benefit amount will be displayed under REMITR> My Accounts > Promotions tab.  This benefit expires 10 years from the date of activation (or once you exhaust the value of your promo benefit – whichever occurs first).

How many payments can I make with my NO-Fee Promo Code?

You can make any number of domestic payments overall. However, this particular benefit is restricted to a maximum of 100 domestic payments per month within Canada. Certain types of payments are not permitted under this promotion. You can find out more about these payments types by referring to our Terms & Conditions.

How do I check my remaining NO-Fee balance?

Simply login to your REMITR account and click on My Accounts > Promotions for complete details of how much you have saved and how much of your balance is remaining.  The total amount you’ve saved on fees and your remaining promotional balance will also be shown on-screen just below the menu bar.

Why did my beneficiary receive less than I sent?

REMITR will not charge your beneficiary anything to receive the funds, but the transfer will still be subject to any policies in place at the recipient financial institution. If your transfer was completed through wire, your beneficiary’s bank may have charged a fee in order to receive the transfer.        

I’ve initiated and funded a transfer, what happens next?

The rest is up to us. Your beneficiary doesn’t need a REMITR account to receive the funds – the transfer is deposited directly into their bank account. Transfer status can be review by logging into your REMITR account and accessing the ‘Transfers’ tab.
